SOSIALISASI PENANGANAN KONFLIK ANTARA GAJAH DENGAN MANUSIA

Abstract

Most of the rural communities in East Lampung Regency have become aware of the potential conflicts with wildlife, specifically elephants that frequently enter and move around residential areas. This service analyzes the factors influencing the conflict between humans and wildlife in East Lampung Regency, as well as the community's efforts to address the conflict. The researchers argue that changes in land use and habitat fragmentation are the main factors driving conflicts. Through socialization and discussions, this service explores the community's traditional knowledge about wildlife and its ecosystem. This service provides recommendations to enhance community preparedness through education programs. It is hoped that the community will have rich knowledge about wildlife behavior and have developed effective management practices.
