INISIASI AJAR TANAM BERBASIS SOILLESS CULTURE SYSTEM DI KAMPUNG LIMAN BENAWI, LAMPUNG TENGAH

Abstract

The majority of the local community in Kampung Liman Benawi,Trimurjo, Central Lampung, depends on the agriculture and plantation sectors, and ongoing home garden eco-agritourism. Some of its community, especially in Dusun II are entering a non-productive age.  Post Covid-19 pandemic and lock down program, various negative impacts on the economic  sector are experienced including in Kampung Liman Benawi. As a result, the home garden became neglected.  Supporting eco-agritourism and inclusivity  empowerment, a soilless culture system project has been introduced to Kelompok Wanita Tani, KWT, farmer women group, in Dusun II Kampung Liman Benawi under the Ministry of Research and Technology, Higher Education grant for Student  Creativity Program-Community Service 2023.  Companionship in redeveloping the potential of agri-tourism in Liman Benawi is done to rebuild the home garden agritourism . Training activity was carried out for developing planting tools, planting media, and cucumber seeding. Handover of soil-less planting tools and the media to KWT members was done for further projects on planting, harvesting.  The KWT members are enthusiastic in joining the program.
